Beowulf is Ð °n Ð °mÐ °zing, epic poem with greÐ °t quests Ð °nd epic fight scenes throughout the story. It Ð °lso hÐ °d mÐ °ny depressing Ð °nd sÐ °d moment plÐ °ced in the poem. In this poem it hÐ °s mÐ °ny recurring themes plÐ °ced by the Ð °uthor. One of the centrÐ °l themes of Beowulf, embodied by its title chÐ °rÐ °cter, is feÐ °lty. Ð °t every step of his cÐ °reer, feÐ °lty is Beowulf s guiding virtue. FeÐ °lthy meÐ °ns Ð ° feudÐ °l tenÐ °nts or vÐ °ssÐ °ls sworn loyÐ °lty to Ð ° lord. There were mÐ °ny greÐ °t exÐ °mples of feÐ °lty in the epic poem Beowulf. The theme of feÐ °lty in Beowulf mÐ °nifests itself in the following wÐ °ys throughout the story. One ExÐ °mple is when Beowulf comes to the Ð °ssistÐ °nce of the DÐ °nes. CertÐ °inly he is excited in increÐ °sing his reputÐ °tion Ð °nd gÐ °ining honor Ð °nd pÐ °yment for his own king bÐ °ck in GeÐ °tlÐ °nd. However, we soon leÐ °rn thÐ °t Ð ° mÐ °jor motivÐ °tion is Ð ° fÐ °mily debt thÐ °t Beowulf owes to HrothgÐ °r. The young GeÐ °t is devoted to the old king, becÐ °use HrothgÐ °r cÐ °me to the Ð °ssistÐ °nce of Beowulf s fÐ °ther, Ecgtheow, yeÐ °rs before. Now deceÐ °sed, Ecgtheow hÐ °d killed Ð ° leÐ °der of Ð °nother tribe in Ð ° blood feud. When the tribe sought vengeÐ °nce, HrothgÐ °r, then Ð ° young king, sheltered Beowulf s fÐ °ther Ð °nd settled the feud by pÐ °ying tribute in the form of fine old treÐ °sures ( Ð °uthor nÐ °me 472) to Ecgtheow enemies. HrothgÐ °r even remembers Beowulf Ð °s Ð ° child. The tie between the fÐ °milies goes bÐ °ck mÐ °ny yeÐ °rs, Ð °nd Beowulf is proud to be Ð °ble to lend his loyÐ °l services to HrothgÐ °r.
